Inverhuron Business Information Services Inc provides an application designed to add serialised inventory tracking to your current management systems using barcoded inventory labels or tags. Focused on the steel processing sector, and designed and packaged to suit even the very smallest of manufacturing or distribution companies, our system can provide you with some of the basics for ISO certification. Even if you don't have a company server, you can still use our system, because we will host it for you.

If you have internet access then the first steps to getting started are:

  1. Download the manual and read it.
  2. Connect to our server and try out the demo system. You will need Firefox or some other W3C compliant browser: Internet Explorer will probably not work.
  3. The manual and demo system together should answer most of your questions, but if not, you are invited to contact us by email, phone or fax, and we will do our best to assist you.

You must ensure that your browser has certain features enabled.

  • You almost certainly will have cookies enabled, but if not you will be pestered for a password every time you refresh your browser window.
  • You must have popups enabled since they are used extensively for error messages and confirmation notices. Reports and enquiries always open a new window to show their results. You can enable popups just for trackheat.com if you prefer.

The Track Heat screens are formatted for a widescreen (1440x900) monitor and may be a bit squashed horizontally on a more square screen so that some of the center pane text flows behind the help column. If that happens to you, simply adjust the font size to something smaller with Ctrl- (the control key held down while you press the minus or hyphen key). You can also make the font bigger with Ctrl+.

Browser Notes

Your internet browser is the main tool for using Track Heat. You will need Firefox or some other W3C compliant browser. Internet Explorer has many proprietary features and does not comply with the Worldwide Web Consortium (W3C) standards. Firefox is much better at adhering to the official standards, and is the most suitable browser to use with Track Heat.

The B2B portal is the only part of Track Heat that will work with Internet Explorer.

Google Chrome may work with Track Heat since it is based on the same Open Source Mozilla code that Firefox uses. Safari is similar, but we know there are some problems using Safari. We develop and test with Firefox, so that is the best browser to use.
