Pepsi is planning to launch wireless devices using Symbol handhelds. If you read through the article you will see that they only intend to eliminate the modem link. Everything still happens at the depot, so (unlike our system) the pricing and inviocing is still batch, not up to the minute.

And (what a surprise!) Coke is getting in on the act as well, also with Symbol. According to the article, they are going all out with wireless. They will have it in the route trucks for invoicing, and in the hands of presellers in the store.
